Exclusive Limited Print From the Series "Animaux du Monde" - Printed on Hähnemulle Photo Rag Fine Art Paper.
During the last century we have lost 97% of the total population of tigers due to poaching, habitat loss and fragmentation. Nowadays less than 4000 individuals live in the wild and, at the end of the next decade, it is possible that all tigers may become extinct. Four of the (6) remaining subspecies of tigers are considered endangered by the IUCN, while two of the subspecies are considered “critically” endangered. We use to have nine subspecies, the three extinct subspecies are; the Bali Tiger, Caspian Tiger and Javan tiger.
